"I'm Mel Rook and I live in Chesterfield Derbyshire and I’ve been modelling since the summer of 2004.
Before this and after leaving school I spent 6 and a half years serving in the British Armed Forces getting dirty, sweaty and not being very glam. In the army I worked as a riding instructor for a few years which I enjoyed so much as I have a love for horses.
I did enjoy my time in the forces but after a while I realised that it was modelling that I wanted to do so I did, I got signed up with my first agency in the North East and off my career started.
